Calgary Co-op Donates Proceeds from Bags to Riches to CLP
March 13, 2013
In the early 1990’s Calgary Co-op created a program that encourages its customers to “go green” while supporting their community at the same time. The Bags to Riches program provides three cents to local charities for every plastic, paper or tote bag, reused in their stores. From October to December 2012, Calgary Co-op donated funds raised through this program to the Canadian Legacy Project and the organizations we support. All money raised was used to purchase Co-op gift cards for the Veterans Food Bank and the Golden Age Club Food Bank.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Calgary Co-op for including the Canadian Legacy Project in this amazing fundraising opportunity!
